Thank you to all of our guests, friends, family and loyal supporters for coming out and braving the heat with us last week! Our Summer Shop Night with Neatly Nested on June 25th, was an overwhelming success! We truly celebrated summer in all it's glory! The shop was filled with warmth, smiles, goodies, and an entire store discount to boot!

We wanted to welcome Summer with big splashes of color and capture the feeling of a summertime gathering set in the cozy shop of Neatly Nested in South Boston. Our soirée would be filled with sunshine, bold stripes (Bash's signature design element), and touches of a cozy French home. And it was quite perfect that the shop's colors fit perfectly with ours! Together, the palette for the event was a warm yellow, white, and black, with accents of shimmery gold and mint.

Early on in the design process, I knew I wanted to incorporate a few symbolic things:

Lemons, pineapples and fabric. Lemons remind us all of summer, pineapples are symbols of hospitality (this was just before I discovered pineapples were the latest trend!), and fabric was our nod to the fabulous upholstered pieces (and pillows!) that fill Danielle's shop!

We served petite bottles of Lemon Q Drinks with black and white straws along with ice cold cucumber water and lemon water—perfectly refreshing on the incredible hot day! Lemons were also the holders to our menu cards for the charcuterie, drinks and French macarons.

I've always loved the look and shape of pineapples. And they would be perfect for our summer event not only for their juicy yellow tropical fruit, but as an emblem of hospitality. We served it straight up and covered in chocolate! And to our surprise, just a week before the event, NN had received a shipment of glossy white ceramic pineapple jars—they were perfect! You can purchase at the shop!

As a nod to our brand and NN, we made a conscious decision to cut and sew reusable cotton napkins (although we had paper for backup) from a warm yellow and white striped fabric—they matched their brightly striped awnings perfectly! Cut to a petite square shape and sewn with a raw edge, they added a level of sophistication, and tradition, along with our gray and white striped table runner. We also dressed all of our 36" balloons with a mix sheer fabrics and tissue.

Our florals were simple accents of texture and height. They were arranged in modern groupings of hydrangeas, stock, hyacinth and sweet pea all in shades of white and yellow.

We used neighborhood "food curator", American Provisions, for the most delicious imported cheeses, Italian meets, locally-made hummus, and roasted vegetables. And we featured a pop up shop with Miam Maim Macaronerie who displayed French macarons to taste—lemon poppy, pistachio, and vanilla bean.

Our simple photo booth was our black box design (used when we feature quotes) hand-painted on a white canvas, which framed the beautiful faces of our guests!

Guests parted with a token of our love and gratitude: A place setting "cheat sheet" and custom Bash FOE hair tie (xo, Bash) and gold mercury glass votives (xo, Neatly Nested).

Cheers to Summer Shop Night! #partyshop
