THE BASH TEAM GROWS + 1
I am so excited to welcome my summer intern, Paige Govoni, to Bash!
The internship process was new for me. I posted it only a few places and crossed my fingers for a handful of responses and I got over 40! Completely humbled by all the interest and enthusiasm, I had to force myself to interview only the top candidates. I looked hard and waited patiently for someone who not only had experience in hosting events at school or at other jobs, but who was self-motivated, hard working, detail-oriented and who had passions of their own. You can teach the industry but passion is hard to find. Paige shined from the start! Out of the gate, Paige had a big smile and was very professional! I loved hearing about the events she planned with her AXO sisters at the University of South Carolina and that she's a part of a family-owned business too!
Paige joined Bash last week immediately after we got hired to style a 40th birthday party. We had only 5 days to pull together a birthday over two different locations! She's jumped right in on her first day and proved to be a sourcing machine! (Sorry Paige, not the most cute but super helpful!) A local from Shrewsbury who ventured to warmer weather to South Carolina for school, Paige is super active in her sorority, loves to travel, studied aboard and . . . about to be a senior! Yay!
Paige will be helping me with all of my events this summer, social media and blog posts . . . My partner in crime and right-hand girl!
Meet Paige! I'm trilled to have her on my team! Go Bash!
"My name is Paige Govoni. I'm a rising senior at the University of South Carolina where I major in Marketing, and Human Resource management with a minor in Hospitality Restaurant and Tourism Management. My guilty pleasures include Pinterest, binge watching Netflix, and eating lots of chocolate. I also enjoy reading a good book at the beach, going out with my girlfriends, and my newest passion, traveling. I first came across Kathryn's listing for the internship at Bash on a job search site while studying abroad in Italy this past spring. I saw the words "social media", "must be a do-er", "glitter-izing", and my interest was sparked! After reading more about Bash Studio, I knew this would be a great opportunity to gain experience in the event industry in a fun and creative way. I am proud to be an addition to Kathryn's fast building company and can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds at Bash Studio!"
